Workflow

Three steps, then review

1. Upload your resume. FormFolio extracts grounded answers locally and saves the file. It attaches only to an upload identified as required.
2. Select Start FormFolio. Read the disclosure and grant website access. Recommended setup enables required-field filling, local memory including eligible sensitive answers, supported required acknowledgments and application terms/privacy acceptance, on-device AI when available, and screened question/options with answer-free diagnostics. Acceptance on your behalf may have legal effect; review linked terms yourself. Start without sharing enables the same local features without automatic reports.
3. Complete, correct, review, and submit manually. FormFolio saves committed answers locally. Clearing a required answer rejects the prior answer until you supply a replacement. Optional clears create no persistent blank preference. Optional fields and uploads are never filled, even with manual Fill. Stop turns automatic filling and learning off.

If an application step is missed, choose Use FormFolio here near the top of the popup, without opening Advanced. Required fields fill using your saved choices. With local answer memory on, corrections save automatically without a separate Learn action. This does not change privacy choices or override a site pause.

Existing installations are not opted into setup automatically. Choose Use recommended setup or Start without sharing. Individual switches, manual Fill/Learn, and deliberate Keep blank rules are in Advanced. Ordinary Stop/Start preserves sensitive, acknowledgment, AI, and reporting choices; Apply recommended setup explicitly reapplies the disclosed bundle. Imports and updates preserve consent. Existing manual values remain unless explicit overwrite applies to an eligible required field.

Required acknowledgment acceptance starts off for existing users. Only explicit approval of the disclosure that includes it, or its individual Advanced control, enables it. Earlier setup approval and ordinary Stop/Start do not. It is independent of sensitive filling and diagnostic sharing. Turning it off stops future acceptance, not selections already on the form.

Only supported required single-choice informational acknowledgments and application terms/privacy agreements qualify. Optional, multiple, ambiguous, signature, factual-certification, identity, birth-date, background/criminal/credit-check, and marketing controls stay manual. AI never decides acceptance, and agreement values are not learned as applicant facts. With local memory enabled, unchecking an automatic acceptance saves a scoped manual-only rule. Undo restores that memory, not the live form. FormFolio does not click arbitrary application buttons or Submit.

AI device and model requirements still apply. Setup does not download or guarantee a model. Prepare on-device AI is an optional Advanced action when Chrome supports it; unavailable AI does not block deterministic filling or local memory.

Chrome downloads and manages Gemini Nano on your computer, separately from FormFolio. Deterministic matching handles known questions before the model. After your correction is saved locally, the extension background worker can use the available model to check question meaning and propose a repair. Local checks decide whether to keep it. Saved facts and rules improve later forms; FormFolio does not retrain the model or send inference prompts to a remote AI service. Sharing diagnostics is a separate choice. No FormFolio account or paid AI plan is required.

Bounded German current-residence questions such as Wohnsitzland use exact English/German country-name matching. This is not broad multilingual support: citizenship, birth country, work country, past/future residence, and ambiguous questions remain separate.

The compact panel stays fixed to the viewport while scrolling, including on pages with transformed roots. Its non-modal top-layer placement does not lock the form or dismiss application menus.

Typed facts preserve numeric precision and context. Six years of experience can answer an exact quantity, an existence question, or an unambiguous containing range. A saved range never becomes an invented exact number. Personal repairs and validated fact relationships survive clearing diagnostic history.

Unknown questions use conservative canonical application scope; recognized ATS routes can establish employer scope. Tracking and session parameters are not question identity. Contact fact synonyms can reuse trusted personal facts when context agrees. Ambiguous or contradictory meanings remain for review. No promise covers every website, control, or generalization.

Exact repairs are committed before optional on-device generalization. Settings show private learning outcomes and recent metadata, not raw before/after answers. Generalization controls and Clear learning history keep saved answers. Saved override controls enable or disable exact repairs without deleting answers. Profile/custom mappings editors and subsequent form corrections edit answers. Protected fields remain manual; Undo invalidates derived inference.

Privacy

Local answers, optional reporting

A blur save is handed to the background before awaiting completion, but instantly killing the tab or browser can interrupt it. No navigation guarantee is made. AI or collector failures do not discard committed repairs. Optional reports target the maintainer's Cloudflare Worker. Earlier category-only permission is not broadened automatically; customers must approve the updated text-sharing disclosure once.

Local maintainer tools create candidates and synthetic fixtures, validate with different fictional profiles and negative cases, and require content-bound explicit review before packaging. Report frequency is not distinct customers or ground truth. No paid AI, remote runtime code, or automatic publication is required or enabled.
